Dior Chinese style gift box packaging design

What the customer wants: Dior sought to design a limited-edition gift box with a dark blue color and Oriental cultural elements, aiming to provide consumers with a unique and luxurious unboxing experience while enhancing the brand image.

Design concept and function:

Our design concept is "Deep Sea Secret", which aims to show the high-end and unique Dior brand through the combination of the mystery of dark blue and the elegant Oriental elements. The gift box is made of dark blue special paper with exquisite Oriental style three-dimensional illustrations printed on the surface, showing a deep and luxurious atmosphere. The interior design has a special fixed slot to ensure the safety and stability of the product during transportation, while providing an elegant display effect.

Reflect the height of the packaging:

● Color and pattern: The Oriental style three-dimensional illustration with dark blue and fine bronzing process conveys the high-end image and mystery of the brand.

● Material selection: The use of high-quality special paper and lining materials to ensure the durability and touch of the packaging.

● Printing process: The difficulty of hot stamping process is relatively high. Through precise process control and many tests, we successfully achieved a golden effect similar to gold silk embroidery to ensure the clarity and texture of the illustration pattern.

● Structure design: The gift box adopts magnetic opening and closing design, which increases the convenience of use and the protection of the product.

Production difficulty and solution:

● During the design and production process, we encountered several major challenges: The production difficulty of three-dimensional illustration: In order to ensure the three-dimensional effect and detailed performance of illustration, we have adopted the combination of advanced 3D printing technology and fine hand engraving to ensure the high precision and artistic sense of illustration.

● The fixing of the fringe outside the box: the fixing of the fringe needs to be both beautiful and firm. We designed a special fixed fastener, through accurate calculation and testing, to ensure that the fringe will not fall off during the opening and closing of the gift box, while maintaining its decorative effect.

● The challenge of the bronzing process: In order to achieve a golden effect similar to gold wire embroidery, we conducted many tests of materials and processes, and finally settled on a solution that would ensure the pattern is clear and maintain the shine for a long time.
